Meet our Pastors

At The Avenue Church

Tyler and Ashley Jordan

Pastor Tyler and Ashley have been with Eagle Creek Church since 2022, and are honored to continue leading our community to become The Avenue! They have been serving together in ministry for 12 years. After moving to Warrensburg in December of 2022 and launching the Warrensburg Campus in January of 2023, their hearts have been fully set on reaching the people of Johnson County! They are committed to building The Avenue to be a life-giving church that leads families to leave a legacy for generations to come.

Tyler and Ashley understand that the most valuable asset they have to give is themselves and their time. They lead relationally and desire to personally connect with the people of The Avenue as much as possible. Their two kids – Kennedy and Cale – have learned to love any time other families or young adults come to the house, and they genuinely look forward to being at church each Sunday morning.

Tyler earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry and Music from Southwest Baptist University (2012) and his Master’s of Divinity in Theology and Ministry from Baylor’s Truett Seminary (2015). Ashley is a Physical Therapist and loves caring for her patients, especially the ones that attend our church!

Our Beliefs

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father, creator of the universe.

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, the one and only Savior; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, both fully human and fully divine; Who lived a sinless life; Who suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin; Who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day; Who ascended into Heaven; and Who will return in victory to rule forever.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit: Who convicts of sin; Who indwells every Christian; Who helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer; and Who empowers us to a victorious Christian life.

We believe in Good News—the cross of Jesus changes everything.

That man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

That salvation—the forgiveness of sins—is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.

That one receives salvation by repenting of sin, and putting their faith in Christ and His death, burial and resurrection.

Those who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ are to follow the Biblical command to be baptized, and are thus sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel and to love and serve the world just as Jesus Himself did.

We believe in the Bible—God’s perfect Word.

We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error.

We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.

We believe in the church—God’s people on mission.

We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere, and organized into local assemblies, called churches.

We believe the Bible teaches that every Christian should be an active member of a local church.

We believe the Bible instructs church members to:

  • Meet together regularly for fellowship, worship, teaching, and the Lord’s Supper. Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 11:10

  • Use our natural abilities and spiritual gifts to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12:4-8

  • Love one another, bear with one another, accept one another, and forgive one another. Colossians 3:12-14; Ephesians 4:2-3; Ephesians 4:32

  • Seek unity, agreement, and peace with one another. Ephesians 4:3; Romans 14:19; 1 Corinthians 1:10

  • Bear one another’s burdens and pray for one another. Galatians 6:2

  • Spur one another to love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24-25

  • Submit to the authority of the elders of the church. Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1-3

  • Support the church financially. (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7; Acts 2:44-45

  • Pursue personal holiness and obedience to God’s Word. Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:2

  • Strive together to fulfill the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20; Philippians 1:27

In February of 2023, Tyler and Ashley Jordan led a team of 60 people to launch the Warrensburg Campus of Eagle Creek Church. After three years of serving, worshipping, and growing together as a community, the Warrensburg Campus was commissioned and launched to become The Avenue Church. Our first official gathering as The Avenue was Easter Sunday, 2026. Even with a new name, our mission remains the same.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20

The Avenue Church exists to help you find your people and follow Jesus.
